Email Promotion Internet Marketing Automation

There are lots of methods you can use to build a profitable Internet Business. One of these I like to call Email Promotion Internet Marketing Automation.

Email marketing has been around for a long time, and today it is so easy to automate the process. All you need to do is put an opt-in box on your site and capture the information.

It is important to do this correctly and get permission to email your contacts. If you get this wrong you are dead in the water. You will run the risk of being accused of spamming, which is emailing people without getting their permission to do so.

So when anyone signs up to your list, you should use what is known as a “double opt-in” process.

This simply means that they have to confirm their details in a follow up email.

This stops problems like putting in someone else’s email address without their permission.

One of the best ways to do this is by using a professional autoresponder.

Aweber is one of the best around and well worth checking out.

It is so easy to use, helps get your emails delivered, and is a protection against being accused of spamming.

By using a trusted and recognised company to manage your lists, you will be seen as more professional than a self hosted unknown system.

It may help you getting subscribers because of this, and people know they can unsubscribe and their details will not be shared or abused in any way.

To get subscribers to your list you need to provide something of value in return for their information. Depending on your website niche, you could offer an ebook or a script.

When Should You Start Building Your List?

It is so important to start building a list as soon as possible.

When you have a list you are able to stay in communication with your subscribers.

And you can help them with insights and information. You do not promote offers to them all the time.

You can build up trust with your subscribers in this way. They will come to regard you as being helpful and an expert in your field.

A couple of things to consider to ensure you do it right.

1. Do not abuse your list with promotion after promotion. Provide valuable information and help.

2. To build your list, provide something of real value. There is too much junk around nowadays and you need to make yourself stand out.

3. Use automation to manage your list. It is too much trouble to try using standalone systems of your own.

So make sure you are building your list and starting a relationship with your subscribers. People will respect you and trust you if you treat them right. And email promotion internet marketing automation is the very best way to do this.

  1. Wake up call for me. Yes, I’ve read somewhere that email marketing is quite effective in building relationship. I haven’t gone into this email marketing yet. Will have to look into this.
    Thanks again, Ben.

    • Hi Norleila,
Yes it is never too early to start building your email list. Over time you build up trust and brand recognition.
Best of luck with your business, you have a great website.

  2. Hi Bernard, I am severly behind with this portion of building my business. I focus so much on adding content I forget the fact I need to capture the visitors I do get. Especially the ones that come back more than once.

I’ve started on an Ebook as a incentive for people to subscribe, but then I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with them once they do. What I don’t know could fill volumes.

I’ll be back here often to learn what I can.

    • Hey Phil,
Thanks for dropping by. As you know having your own list is very important and helps with trust and branding.
The learning process never stops and list building needs to be done correctly, so it is worth taking the time to study
      it properly.

Subscribe to a competitor site and learn from them, how often do they email, the content of the emails etc.
Doing so is an easy way to get a feel for what is right or wrong, like are the emails relevant, are they just pushing affiliate links.

Take what you think is good and note what you don’t like.

It will help you form an outline for your own strategy, but I think your
own very personal style of communication will be your biggest asset!
